CRIMINAL LAW & PROCEDURE: marijuana and falsification

What is the name of your state? ohio
can one get possesion if the marijuana was not theirs but it was a friends... and is drug abuse a crime......i thought their was something about addiction not being a crime.... can a drug induced state lead to temporary insanity and therefore have something that was said stricken from the record.....for example false name...

You are GUILTY as well if it is not yours. You were with friend whom you are GUILTY too. Sorry to say that, but it sucked that courts looked at this way.

disband, marijuana is less addictive than your average household sugar, so I'm guessing that defense would probably be out.

um I hate to be a hippy about this but you people who say its his fault for having it are idiots themselves . Just because there is a law for something does not mean it is just or moral. Making it illegal makes it worse buy making it worth more than freakin gold, something is wrong here. And no-one should go to jail for possesion or the smoking of cannabis. It's a herb that the poiticans have made illegal for big corp. like dupont and others. Since cannabis=hemp which = cheaper and healthier foods, non destruction of trees for paper. It goes on and on please dont believe everything you hear. Research it and you will find the truth to alot of propaganda our government makes up to help out the big buissness that give thim millions of dollars to there party. I hope you get your case thrown out of court so get a very good lawyer for yourself and maybe soon marijuana smokers can spark up a spliff without worrying about the man.

Your not just being hippy your being stupid. calling us Idiots..... you must be another '' pot head'' yourself. there is a law because it's Illegal and there is nothing good about it. you can justify your smoking it by callen it a herb or what ever you like but the fact remains that it's still ILLEGAL. I have done research and found nothing to make me want it leaglized. so the next time you spark up a spliff be sure you don't get caught. here's some fact for you.
last year 165,000 people entered into drug rehabs for marijuana addiction.
marijuana cause's anxiety, paranoid thoughts,hinders short term memory, judgment and reaction time which leads to auto accidents.

165,000 were kids anyway and they were put there by there parents or the law. You actually feel better when people are put in jails because of this. One more thing marijuana is a non-addictive drug nor can it cause someone to over-dose. So you tell me why is it illegal. Cigs, alcohol have no benefits i repeat no benefits so why is it legal and causes about 500,000 a year while Marijuana causes a big fat 0 a year. While MJ helps in many ways for the sick, or they wouldn't have made it legal for sick people in some states.

It's a shame that so many Americans believe that just because there is a law against something, that it automatically makes it right. Didn't we learn anything during the prohibition of alcohol days? People are going to do drugs if they are so inclined, legal or not. We spend so many billions of dollars a year on the "War on Drugs" which is a war we cannot win. Hell, if you can't keep it out of prison, how do we expect to keep it out of our country? How do we expect kids to work at McDonalds for mimimum wage when they can sell illegal drugs and make hundreds of dollars a day? I say legalize marajuana, it is one of the most benign drugs known to man and causes less harm than most legal drugs we can buy across the counter, ie; alcohol, tobacco, caffine, nasal spray, asperin, aleve etc. etc.

No the 165,000 were not all kids. I worked with drug addicts for years and I have seen the fact's that prove that mariuana is highly addictive and those affected are of all ages. yes most kids are put into rehab by their parent's. that is what a responsible parent does for their child.. I feel alcohol is very destructive and would be happy if it were not legal either. Have you ever saw someone withdraw from marijauna ? it the same as a person withdrawn from herion or cocaine though I'm sure you wont agree with that. I have seen it first hand. it's obvious that we do not have the same thoughts about this and thats what's great about this country we don't have to. so you can keep smoking and keep fighting for prohibition and I'll be on the other side making sure it doesn't happen. I don't condem you for what you beleive in. I just don't agree with it. Kathie

look knorris kids should not do drugs. But adults should beable to put what they want in there bodies so long as they dont hurt anybody else, come one dude this is supposed to be a free country......
As for the withdraw from mj when u stop please dont go there girlfriend bacause I smoke everyday when I get off work and get pissed tested twice a year And I can say this for a fact when u stop you dont go there herion like stages you go there nothing I can stop for months to get clean but I cant stop smoking for the life of me. So please dont tell me mj has bad side-effects when you quit, its just non-sense. If you actually smoked the budda then you would know.
One more thing to people who say mj has no-benefits. There are alot and the one I most like is that my girlfriend no longer takes her Zoloft because of mj, look I dont know how this is but she no longer needs this for her depression. It might be because of me but Im mush happier that she doesnt since meds do nothing but have side-effects that are really worse than her illness.
