I discovered I had LUPUS and was ill and out of work from July 2003 to March 2004. I was on short term disabililty it expired in March 2004 and I was not ready to return to work yet...My employer made it clear that if I didn't return back to work by the end of March I would be out of a job....I talked with my docter and we both agree that I go back to work at ligth duty for 30 days and see how it works out...They denied me coming back with ligth duty restrictions.. it was all or nothing....And before I can get a hold of my Docter with this reponse...I was thinking about just coming back just to save my job ..I didn't want to lose it.....They terminated me a day later....they didn't accomodate me at all ...I think they were wrong in wanting an "ALL OR NOTHING " ...I've worked for this company for five years and had good work reviews and attendance...This was in Bristol, PA.
