Family Law: collect back child support

I am 20 years old and I live in Florida and my father lives in Illinois. I have been told that I can bring a law suit against my father for the back child support as well as for my school tuition because that was in the divorce agreement. Also someone told me that there might be an age cap on this. Can someone please help me try and find out if this is correct. Thanks**......

Since the court order states (in most cases) that the obligor is your dad, and the obligee is your mother, and it is written and ordered in your best interest... then your mother would have to be the one to pursue any unpaid child support. She needs to do this soon because most states would require that there be court action filed within two years of you turning 18, or the support obligation ending.
