It has now been 93 days since I was awarded a continuation of my disability benefits. I have called the national 8 number SEVERAL times to find out what the progress is on my case. I have yet to be given a definitive answer. I am due back-pay and a monthly check, but have yet to receive ANYTHING in the mail regarding what is owed to me. My question is : Is there any recourse for this ? Can I successfully pursue litigation against the Social Security administraion for NOT paying me what I am entitled ? My house is going into foreclosure because of this and I am not able to afford my much-needed prescription medication. There is definitely pain & suffering here. How long are they (the payment center) able to lolly-gag around and not send me ANYTHING regarding my approved diability case ? I have tried every attempt known to man to get them to respond (via the 8 number). But to no avail. Every day that goes by, I suffer. What can I do ? I don't think a check is EVER going to come.
