My husband just got a letter saying that the visa agency has my case, but the letter says that there are no visa numbers available and I'll have to wait. I'm listed as being in preference category F2A - spouses and unmarried children of permanent resident, which was true when we initially started filing in 2004 but my husband has since become a US citizen. I've seen on the USCIS website where I should immediately get a visa number, but we're not sure how to go about getting my preference category changed.
Any suggestions please?
