Yay I'm not getting deported. (Immigration Law)
Wed, 25 May 2005 08:33:00 GMTSo, if anyone has been wondering (doubt it, but hey I've got nothin
better to do than to update you anyway), myself and a lawyer went to an
Infopass appointment this morning in NYC to try to figure out why, six
months or so after I got my AOS approved, I got a letter denying me...
Well, long story, but they somehow had me in the system twice as two
different people with the same A#, same case #, and same address (dont
ask how that happened, I have no idea). Anyway, me #1 went to an
interview last September and got approved. me #2 was apparently
scheduled for an interview in April, didn't show up, and as a result got
denied. I'm confused, but supposedly it has been straightened out.
::waits another six months for more drama filled USCIS adventures::
Anyway, in other news, it was Chris and I's first anniversary yesterday.
I was sick as a dog, and he got stuck in Chicago and didn't make it home
- so I won't say it was the best anniversary I could have imagined, but
hey at least no one's kicking me out of the country!!!
